Whenever I go to NY I'm amazed by how utterly different it is from VT. There are the obvious things like the tall buildings and closeness and lack of fields or trees. But there are some more subtle differences. For example, you rarely see straight lines in VT. The roads curve, there's no grid system, the buildings are short and irregularly shaped, there's no subway system with tracks extending into the distance... Not even the horizon line is straight, being interrupted by mountains.
I decided to capture this repetition of linear forms.
